For 50 years our Confreres at the Salvatorian Vocation Center have been assisting young people in discerning their vocation. Today it is difficult to find out the number of people, who have participated in the events organized by the Center, but it is known, that many of them became priests and religious at the Society of the Divine Savior and other religious congregations or dioceses.

On September 8th 2010 the seminarians of the Major Salvatorian Seminary and our religious brothers, renewed and made their perpetual religious profession. The novices took their first vows. At the same occasion some our Confreres celebrated their jubilees of religious profession. Already on September 7th the novices received their religious habits and the postulants became novices.
Fr. Stanisław Hochół SDS (1935-2010)

Fr. Stanisław Hochół SDS passed away suddenly on September 14th 2010 in Krzyż Wlkp. His funeral took place at the Salvatorian church in Kraków – Zakrzówek, on September 18th. Fr. Stan was born on January 1st 1935 in Jurków (Diocese of Tarnów), Parish of Dobra, in farmers’ family of Józef and Maria Czyrnek. He was the oldest of their ten children.

On September 3-4, 2010 in Wrocław took place the ceremony of decoration award of the Polish edition of the Silesian Cultural Award of Lower Saxony. In organizing the ceremony was involved also the Center for Culture and Art in Wrocław, which is a cultural institution of the Autonomy Government of Lower Silesian Province.

Hungary: Postulancy in Hungarian Foundation

On July 17th this year, during the Holy Mass at the St. Nicolaus Parish in Galgahévíz, Hungary, our Salvatorian community accepted a new postulant Balázs Varga from Sződliget’s Parish, where also work our confreres. After two months of postulancy Balázs is going to enter the Novitiate, which would take place in Sződ.

On Monday, July 19th 2010, at the Basilic of St. Jadwiga in Trzebnica took place the funeral of Fr. Antoni Kiełbasa, Salvatorian priest, professor, extraordinarily devoted to St. Jadwiga and amateur of the city of Trzebnica and Lower Silesia.
