Trzebinia: Salvatorian Youth Meeting

Last weekend, young people, who are about to complete their High School education this year, arrived in Trzebinia, from diverse parts of Poland. Every one of them participate in some of the Salvatorian apostolates. In Trzebinia they prayed together and simply enjoyed the fact of being Christians. This year's motto of the meeting was: "My Love is Free. Take It." It referred both to the Love of God for every human being and to love between people. Krzysztof Antkowiak, the special guest, developed this thought, sharing with young people his own story, full of fame and adventures, but also telling them of his experience of staying away from God and finding Him again with the help of other people.

Krzysztof's testimony inspired young people's work in groups, where they could talk about their own experience of Love of God and others. The Adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament followed the work in groups. There was also occasion for confession.

The supper was founded by "Gądek i Tarczyński" Company. Also the Bahlzen Company provided a sweet treat. The organizers of the meeting are very grateful for their help and for remembering the Salvatorian youth.

The theatrical performance "Mayday 2" was a great surprise. The actors gave their testimony of Christian faith, being present not only on the scene, but also taking part in the Adoration, the Way of the Cross and the Eucharist. Fr. Piotr Filas, Provincial Superior, presided over the Holy Mass, which concluded the meeting.

The Priests responsible for youth apostolates hope that this year's meeting will be long remembered by all the participants and they already invite young people for next Salvatorian Meeting of Young People, planned to take place in Trzebinia, on September 24 this year.
