Fr. Marian Madlewski was born on September 26th 1934 in Czaple Wielkie near Miechów. On August 14th 1952 he entered the novitiate of the Society of the Divine Savior, in Bagno, and received his religious name: Cyprian. He took his first religious profession on August 1953 roku in Bagno and his final profession on August 15th 1957, also in Bagno.

He was ordained to the Priesthood on June 29th 1960 in Bagno, by the Most Rev. Andrzej Wronka. In the academic year 1960-1961 he took courses in the pastoral study at the Salvatorian Major Seminary in Bagno. From August 29th 1961 Fr. Marian was a vicar of the Salvatorian parish in Trzebnica. In the letter from January 26th 1966 he was appointed a consultor of the religious community in Trzebnica. On August 31st of the same year he was appointed a vicar of the Cathedral Parish of the Assumption of BVM in Gorzów Wielkopolski. From November 1967 he was also a consultor of the religious community in Krzyż Wielkopolski. In June 1968 the Bishop of Gorzów appointed him a diocesan vice – director for foreign missions. On January 19th 1970 he was appointed a pastor of the Blessed Virgin Mary the Mother of Our Savior Parish in Mikołów. The Provincial Superior also entrusted him the office of superior and treasurer of the local religious community. From June 3rd 1972 he was a superior of the religious community in Trzebnica. Next year, in October, he was appointed a consultor for the apostolate of the Polish Province of the Salvatorians. From August 24th 1981 he was a pastor of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in Trzebinia. From June 1984 he was also a consultor of the local community. On June 30th 1990 he was sent to work for the apostolate for missions and parochial spiritual retreats as a missionary and a popular missionary, and moved to the religious house in Międzywodzie. Toward the end of June 1993 he became a vice – superior of the local community. On July 1st 2002 he was appointed a pastoral assistant of the BVM the Queen of the World Parish in Bielsko – Biała (Mikuszowice Śląskie). He was also a conslutor and vice – superior of the local community.
Fr. Marian Madlewski passed away on January 7th 2013 at the Hospital of John Paul II in Bielsko – Biała. His funeral took place on January 10th 2013 at the church of BVM the Queen of the World in Bielsko – Biała. He was buried in the tomb at the local parish cemetery.
