The Studio Katolik, which is one of the Salvatorian apostolates of the Polish Province, produced this film in close collaboration with the Centre of Spiritual Formation in Kraków (another apostolate of the Salvatorians). The film serves as one of the means of evangelization as it regards the need of prayerful studying the Word of God and Lectio Divina prayer.

Works aiming at preparation of Croatian, Slovak and German language versions are in progress. The Italian and English versions are ready.

From the cover of the DVD “Oh the Bible, my Fatherland”:

This film has been made to encourage you to read the Bible prayerfully and help you develop a passion for the Word, which cannot be replaced by any other word.

Oh, the Bible, my fatherland
In you there's everything,
I have been through.
In you there's everything,
I loved.
Everything.

How many of our believers are in the dark, suffer distress and think that the matter of faith is a closed topic for them, that what they are experiencing is not faith but doubt, lack of faith, unfaithfulness. No! This too is a part of faith! They shouldn’t become discouraged. Here is the Bible which is to help to understand that faith is a journey. (Cardinal G.Ravasi)

I think the basic condition is that we, believers return to believing in the Word and with the Word. That we seriously take up our relationship with the Book of the Word, so that it can really become the Book of our life. (A. Cencini FdCC)

What seems most important to me is that the Word of God conveys God’s unconditional love to man. And when man hears about that love through the Word, which comes to him, real miracles happen. (M.Kożuch SJ)

While talking with various people we can see wonderful examples of those who found in God’s Word the answers to their precise, specific questions. (R. Cantalamessa OFM Cap)

Thanks to the work of the Word in you, you have been transformed through the Word. You are a new being. A new being has new eyes, new ears, a new sense of touch, all of the senses new. (I. Gargano OSB Cam).

He who takes up lectio divina learns to look at his life through the eyes of God.
(P. Stawarz SDS).

I believe it is possible to help people develop a passion for the Word of God, because it simply means falling in love with the True Word, which reveals the truth and helps us find the meaning of life. (B. Costacurta)

Even when I open on the most frequently read text I always find words which are new, living. (K. Wons SDS)

We meditate the Word so that it can influence our life, illuminate our decisions, thoughts, everything we do during the whole day. (D.Piekarz)
