Australia: First Lay Salvatorians in Australia

The Salvatorian Family in Australia does not consist anylonger of priests only! Two Salvatorian Collaborators: Anne Cullender and Augustine Lai, made their commitment and were welcomed in the International Community of the Divine Savior. They are first Lay Salvatorians of the Australian Region...

The celebration took place at St. Anthony church in Greenmount, where gathered numerous Salvatorians from all over Australia, who participated in their Regional Meeting and Retreat Day at the retreat house in Shoalwater in Western Australia. They concelebrated the Holy Mass, which was presided over by Fr. Karol Kulczycki, superior of the Australian Region, who accepted the commitments of the candidates. The homily was given by Fr. Leonard Maciończyk, director of the Apostolate of Collaborators and Lay Salvatorians.

Anne and Augustine made their commitments, accompanied by their families, parishioners of Greenmount and Salvatorian Collaborators, who arrived even from so far as Sydney (4000 kilometers distance). After the Eucharist everybody met at dinner at the parish center.
