In Polish tradition the month of August is the time of pilgrimages to the Sanctuary of Our Lady in Częstochowa as well as to other Marian sanctuaries.

During the times of communism, the Albanian government did everything to destroy every kind of religious faith. For practicing their religion Catholics were imprisoned and severely repressed.

On August 22nd this year, at the Braslav’s Sanctuary took place the celebration of the 1st anniversary of the coronation of the miraculous icon of Our Lady the Queen of the Lakes.

On Monday, July 19th 2010, at the Basilic of St. Jadwiga in Trzebnica took place the funeral of Fr. Antoni Kiełbasa, Salvatorian priest, professor, extraordinarily devoted to St. Jadwiga and amateur of the city of Trzebnica and Lower Silesia.

This year we celebrate the 60th anniversary of the prayer night vigils, which take place every 13th day of the month at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima in Trzebinia. As we approached the conclusion of the Year for Priests, the June prayer vigil was dedicated especially to prayer for our priests and to reflection on their role, tasks and expectations of Christ and the Church from the priests.
